Family Ministry Resources

We’ve stated that LBC’s ministry to children and families exists to glorify God by partnering with and equipping parents to lead children to embrace Jesus as Lord and Savior and to pursue God with their whole heart. It’s easy for parents to “delegate” their responsibilities to teach and train their children to the structured programs of the local church.

However, we are convinced that the discipling center for children is the home!

Dads and moms are the ones that are called to tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done. (Psalm 78:4)

At the same time, the Christian home was never intended to exist in isolation from a local church family. As followers of Jesus, we need each other to be equipped and encouraged to persevere in raising the next generation to love and follow Jesus.

With that in mind, we want to periodically highlight a few helpful resources to encourage families to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Every few months, we will plan to post a list of resources for you and your family. These resources will vary from recommended books, articles, devotionals, websites, videos, and other materials. We pray you’ll take advantage of these tools!
