Why Missions Conference?

Why Missions Conference?

Each February, our church sets aside a few days to focus on what God is doing locally, nationally, and globally. Much more than just a 4-day event, we take the time, energy, and finances to meet together like this for a few reasons.

We are forgetful people and often get preoccupied with living our lives for ourselves. We easily get distracted and forget about what God has called us to do. Missions Conference is our opportunity to be reminded of our mission as a church – to make disciples of Jesus for the Glory of God.

Lebanon Baptist Church exists to make disciples of Jesus for the glory of God

Acts 14:27 tells us that, when Paul came back from his 1st missionary journey, they gathered the church together, they declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. This conference is designed for our church to come together, to hear from our missions team, and celebrate what God is doing for His sake in this world!

Missions Conference is a time to renew our commitment to live as Ambassadors of King Jesus in this world. Our Lord’s last words must become our first priority. Let’s all be praying that God would work in our hearts as individuals and our church body as a whole to be galvanized to live for a cause much greater than ourselves – advancing the gospel to the ends of the earth.

Mark your calendars and plan to join together with the church family on February 9-12.
