Family Ministry Resources (Fall 2021)

The purpose of our family ministries is to glorify God by partnering with and equipping parents to lead children to embrace Jesus as Lord and Savior and pursue God with their whole heart.  

Here are a few notable resources to consider for your family over the next few months. The following recommendations are all themed around learning to read and understand the unfolding story of the Bible. Be sure to check out our other recommended resources for families.


Unfolding Grace: 40 Guided Readings through the Bible

The Bible came to us over many centuries from many authors and in many different literary styles. And yet every part fits together into a beautiful story. In Unfolding Grace, discover the overarching storyline of the Bible as it is revealed through 40 Scripture readings drawn from key points in the biblical narrative. Each passage, coupled with brief and accessible commentary, will help you follow God’s grace as it unfolds from Genesis through Revelation. A companion study guide is available as well.

Unfolding Grace for Kids (ages 8-12)

Take this 40-day journey through select Scripture readings to uncover the unifying message of the Bible. Each reading is tailored to help encourage consistent time in Scripture. Unfolding Grace for Kids promotes a love of God’s Word to young readers as they immerse themselves in Scripture through small portions that tell the overarching story of God’s grace. Free study questions are available for download.




Tracing Glory: The Christmas Story Through the Bible

This twenty-five-day Advent devotional begins looking back at the creation of the world and ends looking forward to the new creation in the book of Revelation. Each day, there is a key Scripture to look up, a devotional commentary to read, a helpful summary of the key point, how that particular Bible passage points to Jesus, and questions to prompt discussion with your family.

NOTE: At the publisher’s website, you can find downloadable intstructions for creating ornaments that correspond with each Advent reading to create ornaments to go along with this book.
