Scott grew up in the home of an Air Force officer and pilot. Though living in Arkansas, Australia, and Virginia – he considers North Carolina his home state. He had the privilege of growing up in a strong Christian family and came to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior as a young child.
It was during his teen years that a love for God and ministry was fostered. After high school he attended Bible College, spending two summers on a ministry team and two summers as a camp counselor. In May of 1997, he graduated with a degree in Bible. That August, Scott married Tori Henager from Mt. Pleasant, TX.
In 1999, the Lord led them to The Wilds Christian Camp in North Carolina where he served for 12 years on the program staff assisting in preaching, counseling, music, and directing the CIT (Camper In Training) leadership program.
In September of 2011, the Ashmores moved to Franklin, TN to serve for 18 months with Trinity Baptist Church. In 2013, Scott accepted the invitation to be an interim associate pastor at Lebanon Baptist Church in Roswell, GA, and transitioned into a full-time role later that year.
Scott and Tori have four children – Erin, Katelyn, Michael, Stephen – and a dog, Tank.
