Laurie was saved at the age of 13 during a Salvation Army revival being held down the street from her childhood home. She began serving the Lord during those school years, especially working with little girls (The Sunbeams) and in the nursery. As a member of the Salvation Army’s Girl Guards, she became the first girl to earn the Boy Scouts’ God and Country Award!Laurie met her husband, Paul, at a Salvation Army children’s camp. Paul immigrated to the USA from England in 1984. The Jerrams have three children: Andrew, Rachel, and Tim.
“Miss Laurie” has overseen the nursery ministry at LBC since 1992. She maintains a high standard, providing a safe and nurturing environment for every child. She is passionate about making the nursery not simply a babysitting service, but a place where children’s lives can be touched with the love of God from their earliest days.
