Josh was born in March of 1984, and raised in Lakewood, a suburb of Denver, CO. The seventh of nine children, Josh had the blessing of growing up in a Christian home where his parents, a stay-at-home mom and a physician, were constantly teaching their children about and pointing them to Christ. Around the age of seven, Josh saw his need for salvation from sin and death and put his faith in Jesus Christ to save him. In his late elementary and teen years, Josh had a desire to share his faith with others and see them grow–this began his journey into full-time ministry. After high school, he attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC, and earned a bachelors degree in Bible and then a master’s degree from the seminary.
During college, he started spending his summers working at a small Christian camp in northern Wisconsin–and continued for nine consecutive summers. At Northland Camp and Conference Center, he was able to serve in many roles, from teen counselor to program assistant. These summers continued to fuel his desire to be in full-time ministry. After graduating with his master’s degree in 2008, he signed on to travel with the Galkin Evangelistic Team (For the Gospel Ministries), a ministry which served local churches all over the country through week-long evangelistic, revival meetings. While serving that first year in music, children’s, and teen ministries, he found his future wife in Caroline Lee, a friend he had known from his senior year of college and worked at camp with for the past three years. Caroline returned to Bob Jones University after that first year of traveling to finish her degree in Music Education and they were married in May of 2010, the day after she graduated. They continued to travel as a family for three years with the Galkin Evangelistic Team.
In February of 2013, Josh received a call from Lebanon Baptist Church to join the pastoral team. He agreed, and after a summer directing “Plant Camp” with Gospel Grace Church in Salt Lake City, he moved his family to Roswell, GA, and joined the LBC team. Josh and Caroline have three little girls – Evangeline, Cosette, and Abigail.
