When Jesus gave the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), His followers did not respond by simply sharing the Good News. They planted churches. We are convinced that the purposes of God in salvation are not to simply redeem many unrelated individuals, but to gather a people of His very own reconciled to Him and with one another (Ephesians 2:11- 3:21). In other words, God’s great plan of reconciliation is actually displayed and realized in the local church. The Church is God’s mission strategy!
Equipping and sending believers to spread the Gospel to the world by establishing local churches
Therefore, we place a high priority on a full outworking of the Great Commission by working to establish local churches regionally, nationally, and globally. We will seek to identify, train, affirm, and send leaders as well as teams of those who will support the efforts of church planting.
Since our congregation cannot be everywhere at one time, we will seek to focus our efforts in a few strategic locations where the advancement of the Gospel will open doors for further ministry in the world. By God’s grace, we want to establish and support ministries that are themselves establishing local churches.
And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation, but as it is written: “To whom He was not announced, they shall see; And those who have not heard shall understand.” (Romans 15:20-21)
