As a congregation, we recognize that we are simply servants of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 4:1) and all of our resources are really God’s. They are “on loan” to us to serve Him. The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein (Psalm 24:1).

Investing our God-given gifts and resources to further His eternal purposes

As a result we give a high priority to joyful giving and wise investing in His purposes through the Church. As a congregation we will seek to be careful to invest these resources in meeting the needs of the ministry, in graciously caring care for each other, and advancing the cause of Christ in the world.

Since God has not only blessed us materially, but has given gifts to us spiritually (Ephesians 4:7), we make it a priority to invest our spiritual gifts in the Church. These gifts from God are to be purposefully and joyfully exercised for the purpose of building up God’s people so that we together are advancing of the message of Jesus Christ.

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)
